Queen40 Care Ayurvedic Treatment
(for women above age 40)
After 40s, most women experience several health issues which interfere with their daily and work life. Perimenopause and menopause worsen the condition. This is the period of hormonal changes and signs of aging begins to appear in body as well as mind.
Major Health Issues
Usually, women face perimenopausal symptoms, menopausal issues, aging related problems, and other health issues. Ayurveda can help them to tackle their most disconcerting hitches like osteoporosis, post-menopausal symptoms, wrinkling of skin, hair loss, urinary incontinence, varicose vein, stroke, depression etc.
Ayurvedic Analysis
During reproductive ages, pitta is the predominant dosha in a women’s body. It helps in maintaining regular menstruation, and hormonal balance. As the women ages, pitta reduces and vata increases. It causes dry skin, wrinkling, hair fall, reduced bone strength, increased body weight (medovruddhi), anaemia (pandu), etc. Along with these, after effects of child birth start to reflect in body- loose abdominal muscles, gas trouble, urinary incontinence, etc. Agni (digestive power) is weak and it causes bloating, arshas (haemorrhoids), aruchi (lack of appetite) etc.
Management
Rasayana chikilsa (rejuvenation therapy) helps to improve the symptoms of ageing like wrinkling, hair loss etc. Treatments like snehana (oil massage, internal administration of lipid formulation of drugs), swedana (eg: steam bath), nasya (nasal administration of medicine), vasthi (enema with suitable drugs), lepana (external application of medicine) etc are effective.
For post-menopausal symptoms, treatments are provided to regulate tridosha. Problems like emotional disturbances, excess sweating, hot flashes, etc can be managed with internal medications, procedures like siropichu, nasya, lepana etc along with psychotherapy.
In order to treat problems due to vatavruddhi (eg: asthikshaya/ osteoporosis, arsha/ haemorrhoids), internal medicines as well as therapies such as snehana, swedana, nasya, virechana, vasthi, etc are provided. Panchakarma procedures improves agni and thereby alleviate problems like indigestion.
