Aggravation of vata is usually caused by over activity, lack of rest, excess of intake of bitter/ astringent/ pungent tastes, very dry and cold food, light food, skipping of meals, injuries etc.

Golfers Elbow Disease Management with Ayurveda Treatment
Management depends on the cause of the disease, its chronicity, state of dosha, presence of ama, occupation, age, prakruthi and place of residence of the patient. Internal medications along with local rukshana (if ama is present) or snehana (in the absence of ama), lepana (external application of suitable medicine) and agnikarma (cauterization) are enough to manage the problem.
Diet
Avoid spicy, cold and dry food; curd; Bengal gram etc. include more whole grains, vegetables, milk, small fishes and fruits in diet.
Exercise
Avoid strenuous movements of the elbow joint. Take proper rest in between continuous activities.
Golfers Elbow Preventive Aspects in Ayurveda
Avoid repetitive movements of the arms. Proper warm-up and warm-down are needed for sports persons. Do not bear heavy weight in hands. Avoid injuries to the elbow. Apply suitable oil all over the body before bath. Avoid sedentary habit.

Following a healthy diet during and after treatment helps in speedy recovery as it pacifies aggravated vata in the joint/ tendon.

Ensure proper warm-up and warm-down before and after exercise. Avoid over exertion of the joint. Take adequate rest in between works that demands repeated movements of hands. Quit smoking. Maintain healthy body weight. Take nutritious diet. Drink more water.
