Ailments associated with intelligence, memory, emotion, etc are treated by this method. Bhootavidya was the speciality medicine for ailments of the mind in Ancient Ayurveda. Nowadays, minor and moderate ailments of the mind where the patient maintains cognition are treated in Ayurveda using medications, panchakarma techniques, yoga, psychotherapy etc. Common disorders effectively managed with Ayurveda are stress, anxiety, depression, OCD etc.
