Child Health Ayurvedic Treatment

Only in some critical cases, paediatrician refer the child to other specialities like cardiology, ENT etc. Care of the infant after birth, assessing baby’s overall health and nutritional status/ milestones etc are the duties of a paediatrician.
Ayurvedic speciality take care of infants and children is known as ‘Koumarabhritya’. Kumara means young boy/ girl, bhritya means management/care. But in Ayurveda, this speciality not only takes care of babies, but their mothers also. The areas of concern of Koumarabhritya are health care of babies, manging diseases of the child due to vitiated breast milk and infectious agent, and purification of vitiated breast milk of the mother.
